100 Años de Libertad

Grandeza Mexicana Dance Company

The project:

Outside of design, dance has been a big part of my life. As a member of Grandeza Mexicana, I combined my passion for both by helping with branding and promotion for their annual showcase at the iconic Ford Theater in LA. The show, "100 Años de Libertad," focused on the Mexican Revolution of 1910, and I brought my design strategy expertise to help make it a success.

What we did:

After diving into research on the Mexican Revolution, I kept coming back to one powerful symbol—the Soldaderas, the women soldiers who played a huge role in the movement. I sketched out different illustrations and combined them into a bold graphic that put these women front and center, highlighting their impact in a way that felt both dynamic and meaningful.

Results:

The show sold out a month in advance, and when the night finally came, we absolutely brought the house down. It was hands down one of the most incredible performances I’ve ever been a part of.
