30 Days of Lyrics

Personal Project

The project:

To keep my design skills sharp and break away from my usual day-to-day work, I like to take on personal projects that let me experiment and just have fun. One of my favorites was 30 Days of Lyrics, where I designed visuals inspired by lyrics from some of my all-time favorite songs. It was the perfect way to stay creative while jamming out to great music.

What i did:

Every day in June, I gave myself 30 minutes max to design lyrics in totally different styles—just to see where my creativity would take me. It wasn’t all digital either; I got hands-on with cut paper, hand-drawn typography, and other experimental techniques. It was all about having fun, pushing my style, and letting the music inspire me.

Results:

I just had fun and got to play with typography.
